QuoteWerks issue with images disappearing

We’ve had several QuoteWerks clients contact us in the last week or so with an issue of their logo randomly disappearing from a QuoteWerks Layout when they Preview the Document.

In all cases, the reason has been that the ‘BoldFont’ Conditional font (a default in the sample QuoteWerks document Layouts) has been inadvertently applied to the logo image and a Comment line is the first line on a quote. (Note that the Conditional Font can’t immediately be disassociated as the Format | Conditional Font menu option is disabled for Pictures on QuoteWerks Layouts.)

The resolution is to delete the logo image from the QuoteWerks Layout | click a Label or Field that doesn’t have a Conditional Font applied | click Format, Set as Active Style and Format, Set as Active field properties | finally add the logo Picture back in.

The issue has been reported to QuoteWerks authors (Aspire Technologies) and is due to be permanently resolved in a future build. In the meantime, we hope that this article is of use.
