QuoteWerks Update Maintenance Program
Update Maintenance Program (UMP) Summary
Your initial purchase of QuoteWerks sales quoting software includes 3 months of free updates. Customers
that have purchased the Upgrade Maintenance Program (UMP) will be able to download the current
release, and all updates and upgrades released during the 12 month UMP
period. You are not required to purchase QuoteWerks UMP, and you can continue to use the
release that you have purchased without paying any additional costs. However,
we do recommend that you keep up-to-date with QuoteWerks UMP in order to keep your
system in tip-top condition.
Note that if you wish to receive updates that are released, they would need to have UMP
in place at that time. The UMP is only offered in 12 month periods only.
Update Maintenance Program (UMP) Categories
There are 4 UMP price categories; the pricing for the UMP varies based on several
factors including how many licenses you currently own, if you have purchased UMP in
the past, and how many months have passed since you originally purchased QuoteWerks.
Category A - From original purchase date to up to 3 months inclusive
The free updates that are included with the original product purchase expire after
3 months. If you purchase the UMP during this 3 month time frame, the price
will be 20% of the list price of the current number of edition licenses plus
20% of the list price of the current number of QuoteWerks Real-Time module licenses.
In summary, if you purchase the UMP during this period then you will
receive all updates for 12 months beginning when the initial 3 month period of free
updates expires (i.e. a total of 15 months).
Category B - From 3 months + 1 day up to 12 months inclusive from the original purchase
If the you purchase the UMP during this time frame, the price will be 35% of the
list price of the current number of edition licenses plus 20% of the list price
of the current number of QuoteWerks Real-Time module licenses. You will receive the
current software update and 12 months of updates starting on the purchase date of the UMP.
In summary, if the you purchase the UMP during the 91 days to 12 month inclusive
period after the original product purchase date, then you will receive all updates
prior to the UMP purchase and 12 additional months of updates beginning on the purchase date
of the UMP.
Category C - From 12 months + 1 day to 24 months inclusive from the original purchase
If you purchase the UMP during this time frame, the price will be 50% of the list
price of the current number of edition licenses plus 20% of the list price of the
current number of QuoteWerks Real-Time module licenses. You will receive the current
software update and 12 months of updates starting on the purchase date of the UMP.
In summary, if the you purchase the UMP during the 12 months + 1 day to 24 months
inclusive period after the original product purchase date, then you will receive
all updates prior to the UMP purchase and 12 additional months of updates beginning on the
purchase date of the UMP.
Category D - Greater than 24 months from the original purchase
If you purchase the UMP during this time frame, the price will be 65% of the list
price of the current number of edition licenses plus 20% of the list price of the
current number of QuoteWerks Real-Time module licenses. You will receive the current
software update and 12 months of updates starting on the purchase date of the UMP.
In summary, if you purchase the UMP 24 months + 1 day after the original product
purchase date, you will receive all updates prior to the UMP purchase and
12 additional months of updates beginning on the purchase date of the UMP.
